A passion that began at Lake Maggiore
Sometimes you have to take a detour to discover your true passion. While searching for my direction in life, I decided to take a break from my studies, grab a backpack, and head to Ascona, Switzerland. On the shores of beautiful Lake Maggiore, in sunny Ticino, I found my path in gastronomy.
Under the guidance of a German master chef, I learned the tricks of the trade. There, I not only discovered the secrets of a fine kitchen but also learned how to provide guests with an unforgettable holiday experience. Although the extremely long working hours in traditional hospitality led me to finish my studies in the Netherlands, my love for the craft never faded.

With the arrival of Sable du Temps, that passion finally found its place. However, we didn’t want to start a standard restaurant; we were looking for something unique, something that didn’t exist yet. A place where we could express our own creativity and where hospitality is truly personal. This is how Chez Cath was born.
